The Beast Master part 1
The Beast Master is my sister Alisa.
The beast? My other sister Tami.
Alisa always called Tami the Beast so, naturally
Alisa became the Beast Master.
It all came legitified (a new word I think I just made up)
when my family was playing a game.
The rules of the game are simple.
Someone goes out of the room. In this case it was Tami.
The rest of the group decides on an action you want
that person to do. It can be easy or hard.
At this particular game we decided to have Tami
kneel in front of Alisa, bow and say "Master!"
You tap on a plate with a spoon.
The louder you tap clues the person that what
he/she is doing is the right thing or he/she is
moving in the right direction.
The softer you tap clues the person that he/she needs
to do something different or change direction.
You may not speak.
According to Tami it didn't take long before she
was bowing to Alisa and calling her "Master!"
We were all laughing in amazement that we
could get Tami to do that.
It was hilarious! And all those years ago until
the present day The Beast Master lives on.
Well, this lovely memory came to me as I was trying
to go to sleep one night.
Clarification: Alisa, Tami and my two brothers
and I all grew up under the same roof. Alisa
was our babysitter. She got us to clean the house,
clean ourselves, and really tried hard to get me
to eat Bean and Bacon soup. Which I refused and have
refused and will refuse for the rest of my days.
So in this sense you could call Alisa THE BEAST MASTER!
But Tami was not the only Beast!
But, still, a very funny memory!
And it helps to think of it because it makes me
smile. A lot!
to be continued......
