You know when you're going shopping
to get your kids Christmas Presents?
You have a list because you swore to
yourself you are only getting these certain things.
Then...... you walk into a store and it smells so good
like...... cinnamon and there is Christmas music
playing and it's so festive and there in front of you,
you see a ....Knitting Kit. "Oh" you say, "that would be the
perfect gift for her!" Even though you know dang well
she hates these types of things. She would try to do it
so you will be happy, but it just would end up under her bed
where the rest of her things are that she doesn't feel
like finding a place for.
We KNOW this deep down, but, it seems so perfect
at the time and honestly, who wouldn't want to see
their daughters showing their domesticality.
(I don't think that's even a word)
We are so inspired by temporary feelings.
So, how do we get past acting on emotion?
Force yourself to wait!
During this waiting period, things happen.
Things like:
You realize that those emotions you felt are gone
now and reality comes crashing in.(it's already there
it just feels like crashing.)
You have a conversation with someone who shows
a different path.......a better path.
You start to understand the importance of priority.
You teach your kids lessons on patience and priority.
You start to feel like you are in control of your life.
You are happy. You love, You serve!
It's amazing.
And maybe now we've learned and we'll never go
back to the glossy eyes stage.
Or maybe we will.
But, we'll keep learning!
