I'm 39 now and my husband will be 40
on Tues. We celebrated last Sat and Sun
and had a really great time.
My husband didn't want anything for his
40th birthday except to be with our family so
we partied down. Let me tell you!
First we went to see a movie!
Surprise! Surprise!
If any of you know my husband,
all he ever wants to do is watch a movie.
I can't really complain.
He watches all the Jane Austin movies and the like
with me all the time and enjoys them just as
much as I do!
We just watched "Cranford" and enjoyed it
thoroughly!
The movie we saw with the kids though,
was "How To Train Your Dragon"

I highly recommend it. It's funny and
action packed and just a fun movie all around.
Lill's was skeptical, but she couldn't stop
yelling all through the movie,
"I was wrong Mom, you can totally buy this one!"
We went to eat lunch at Buca di peppo.
It was a fun atmosphere. There were pictures
and statues of Italian people all over.

The favorites:
Framed bra in the women's restroom along with a
nice BIG mirror in the handicap stall where you
can watch your self do your business. Shocking! :)
A picture of an advertisement for a bra and girdle
entitled "How to get your man!"
A little boy statue waterfall where the water
comes out of the little boy's "private area"
that Lill's and E couldn't stop looking at
and E kept saying, "ewww mom ewwww"
as he was pointing at it.
A very large picture where we were seated
of about four women slurping up spaghetti.
There is a table, there, in the kitchen that you
can reserve and watch the kitchen workers prepare
dinner while you are eating. Pretty ingenious!
We had pasta and pizza (that was really greasy and
they offered spicy oil to put on it) and an appetizer
with fried mozzarella cheese, stuffed mushrooms
and fried calamari.
The kids liked the calamari the best.
We all felt really full and not very good when
we left. But it was still really fun. The kids
conducted themselves very well indeed!

Then we went to Barnes and Noble. One of
our favorite places to go and we each got a book
to take home. E played with the train set there in
the kids section almost the whole time until he started
screaming about his train falling over, so we felt it
was time to go and have a nap.
Dinner consisted of chips and salsa and a carrot cake
at 9:30 that night.
Sunday we went to dinner at my Mom and Dad's.
Pork chops, mashed potatoes, salad, biscuits and
broccoli, and of course chocolate cake with pudding
and m&m's on top. All, my most favorite things to eat
there and they make it with perfection!
My husband received movie tickets as a gift.
And I got that cool water color set I wanted
with some paper, water color pencils and a
gift certificate for Michael's and a love letter
from my husband. :) Cute letters from
the kids and T played a fun Birthday song he made
up on his guitar.
We were spoiled!
And happy.
Thanks everyone, for your calls and
