You know what's funny about any picture of Bubba?
They look just like this.
When we went to visit him on the 4th of July
Paula had a family calendar up and
Bubba looked just the same.
His tongue hangin' out.
Bubba stayed with us for a while when
his family moved to Utah. He worked close to
us so he would stay with us during the week and
back to his family in Mt. Pleasant on the weekends.
He went through some treatment while he was here.
He was fun to have around. He would sit on the
couch and read anything I had in my book shelf.
One book in one evening. Like, The City of Ember.
He wrestled with T and Tony.
Now that is a sight to behold!
He watched my little ones, sometimes, so
I could go to my study group.
He brought us milk and butter
from the dairy every week.
Sometimes he would bring us
chocolate or strawberry milk too.
(my kids loved that!)
He would tell me about experiences he
had when he served in his callings and
when he served a mission. He would talk
about how much he loved Paula and his kids.
He was awesome and I'm sure
he's not wasting any time
serving the Lord.
Which is what he looked forward to the most!

I can't think if a time seeing him that he didn't have a big old smile on his face...you are right - he really was awesome!
